Senegal

Rainbow for Africa has implemented a project in Senegal mainly focused in nursing. Our project takes place in two different regions of Senegal:
  • Dakar: we cooperates with a National Hospital in Dakar to promote professional training of local nurses. Doctors and nurses of Rainbow for Africa work with together with the local colleagues to improve nursing skills in emergency triage, wound management and sanitation techniques.
  • St. Louis: in this northern area of Senegal our intervention is focused on nutrition. We have sought local synergies to build a new nutritional center where mothers can learn how to grow their children healthy and fight malnutrition. Local personnel hired from Rainbow for Africa will have an important role in peer education.
